Rae Ann “Ellie May” Minett, age 59, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI. Rae Ann was born on December 1, 1962 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Joseph Platukis and Mary Ann (Vetterneck) Minett, member of Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. She attended Rockford schools. Rae Ann was an animal lover, especially horses. She always had many pets and continued to grow her menagerie after moving to Wisconsin over 30 years ago. She worked at Power Packaging in Rosendale, WI, and most recently at Bonduelle in Fairwater, WI. Her dog, Rover, and Red's Bar in Ripon provided many hilarious stories over the years. Rae Ann is survived by her dear friend, Steve “Mark” Tabler of Ripon, WI; sister, Koren Manley of Topock, AZ; two nephews, Stuart Manley of San Diego, CA and Aaron Manley of Fond du Lac, WI; a niece, Angelique Keenan of N. Fond du Lac, WI; and her dog, Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Platukis and Mary Ann Minett; and two sisters, Stefanie Minett and JoAnn Platukis.
