Age 73

Dee Ann Borgardt, age 73, of Fond du Lac, WI, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Frontida Assisted Living in Fond du Lac, WI.

Dee was born June 22, 1948 in Fort Richardson, AK, the daughter of Dean Clifford and June Elaine (Anderson) Shallenberger. She graduated from high school in 1966. Dee married James Borgardt on May 26, 1995. She worked as an assembler for Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac for 32 years. Breeding, raising and showing dogs and cats was Dee’s passion for many years. She also enjoyed fishing, hunting and vacationing. Dee was an avid Packer fan.

Survivors include her dear friend, Judy (Tim) Caird of Malone, WI, and their daughter, Ally; sisters, Lynn Olsen-Erickson of Cambridge, WI and Jodi (Randy) Huggett of Sturgeon Bay, WI; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Steven (Amy) Borgardt of Ripon, Mark (Tamie) Borgardt of Oshkosh, WI, Richard (Wendy) Borgardt of Eldorado, WI and Robert (Kathy) Borgardt of Pickett, WI. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews and many other good friends. Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Borgardt; her parents, Dean and June Shallenberger; father and mother-in-law, Harold and Elmyra Borgardt; brother-in-law, Brian Erickson; and her grandparents.

A private family entombment will take place at Rienzi Cemetery and Mausoleums in Fond du Lac, WI. Memorials in Dee’s name may be directed to the Fond du Lac Humane Society, 652 Triangle Road, Fond du Lac, WI 54935. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Emily and the other hospice and staff members at Frontida Assisted Living for their exceptional care of Dee in her final days.
