Garret Frederick Peschke, 81, of Ripon, WI, passed away at home on Saturday, March 26, 2022 and entered into the presence of his Lord Savior Jesus Christ and the eternal fields of heaven. Garret was born March 11, 1941, in Ripon, WI, the son of Fred and Jennie (Hilt) Peschke. He attended Ripon Public Schools and then began full time work on local farms. Garret enlisted in the National Guard to serve his country, and he received an honorable discharge in 1969. From 1964 to 1994, Garret was employed by the Green Giant Company as a farm lead person. At Green Giant he met Betty Ann Mantik, and they were married September 14, 1968. He later worked for The Pictsweet Company of Bells, TN as a field representative until his semi-retirement. In 2006, Garret began seasonal work for ADM and for Country Visions of Ripon, WI. In 2020, Garret began part-time work for the Town of Brooklyn in Green Lake County, WI. Garret enjoyed vegetable gardening, the beauty of spring and summer, and road travels. He is remembered as a cherished husband, father, grandfather and son-in-law, with an endearing smile and with special qualities of fortitude, friendliness and helpfulness. Survivors include his wife of nearly 54 years, Betty Ann, of Ripon; daughter, Jackie (Jared) Wingers of Marinette, WI; son, Brian (Diana) Peschke of St. Joseph, MI; grandchildren, Levi and Zach Wingers of Marinette, WI and Evan Peschke of St. Joseph, MI. Garret is further survived by a sister, Gen Fude of Ripon, WI; sister-in-laws, Judith Mantik and Laura Stobb; brother-in-law, Rick Stobb; nephew, Jeff (Suzie) Fude; and nieces, Rachelle (Scott) Krahenbuh and Danielle Stobb (Anthony Mandela). He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Jennie Peschke; in-laws, Enos and Evelyn Mantik; a brother-in-law, Glen Fude; and a sister-in-law, Jane Mantik. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 9:30 – 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971, with a private family service to follow. The service will be officiated by Reverend Erik Boulier of Hillside Assembly of God where Garret attended church. Inurnment (with a Final Salute with Military Funeral Honors) will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Ripon, WI. A memorial is being established in his name.
