Age 84

Joseph “Joe” C. Ferrara, age 84, of Ripon, WI, and formerly of Markesan, WI, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin, WI.

Joe was born in Calumet City, IL, on September 19, 1938, son of Pasquale and Katherine (Nuzzo) Ferrara. He graduated from high school in 1956 and went on to earn his bachelor of science degree in business administration. On April 15, 1961, Joe married Carol A. Klein at Ascension Church in Harvey, IL. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served our country from 1961 until 1963 in the artillery battalion. Joe and Carol owned K & F Business Forms, Inc. in Riverdale, IL, retiring in 2004. Carol passed away on their 55th wedding anniversary in 2016. Joe was a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Riverdale for three years, was Rotary director for four years in Dalton, IL, a charter member of Safari Club International - Chicago Chapter for 33 years, and president for 18 years. He was also a member of Wings over WI, and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake, WI.

Joe is survived by his two brothers, Salvador “Sam” Ferrara of IL and Philip Ferrara of IN; sisters, Rose Ann Hayes of NC and Annette Ferrara of IN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ferrara; parents, Pasquale and Katherine Ferrara; and a brother, Jasper “Jerry.”

Visitation for Joe will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home.

A memorial service for Joe will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the funeral home.

Inurnment will take place at Assumption Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Glenwood, IL.
