Jason Michael Resop, age 40, of Ripon, WI, lost his battle to cancer on December 21, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Jason is the son of Eugene and Debra (Juslen) Resop. He was born in the middle of a blizzard on December 28, 1981, in Oshkosh, WI. He graduated from Ripon High School, class of 2000. After high school, Jason enlisted in the Army and bravely served our country from 2008-2014. He was a gunner in the infantry during 1 tour in Afghanistan. Jason was a self-employed painter, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was bold, energetic, generous and helpful, but most importantly, a loving father to 4 boys. Jason is survived by his parents, Eugene and Debra Resop of Ripon, WI; significant other, Ivy Machmueller of Ripon, WI; children: Dylan, Mason, Jaxon and Abel; siblings: Robert (Cassie) Robinson of Pine River, WI, Douglas Resop of Ripon, WI, Mark (Trisha) Robinson of Ripon, WI and Jeanna Resop of Ripon, WI; and many nieces and nephews. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
