Marcia Mary Voss, age 81, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Ripon Community Hospital with her loving family by her side. Marcia was born on September 8, 1941, in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of Reginald and Evelyn Mallman. She was baptized and confirmed at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI. Marcia attended Milwaukee Lutheran High School, where she met Richard Voss, her classmate and high school sweetheart. She married Richard on September 4, 1959 and their life-long adventure began. They lived in both Washington, D.C. and Germany from 1966-1970, during Richard’s time in the U.S. Army. They moved to Ripon, WI in 1970, where they built a home and became a part of the community. Faith was the thread throughout Marcia’s life and the most important thing to her. She was a very active, life-long member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon and participated in the choir, was a Confirmation and Sunday School teacher and found pride in taking part of and organizing the altar guild. Marcia was a member of the Ripon Women’s club, enjoyed needlework and crocheting and was a very talented seamstress. Her faith followed her on well over 25 mission trips, where she found joy in helping others from all over the world. She had a love of adventure, which included traveling the world. Most of all, Marcia was a proud grandma and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marcia is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard Voss; her children, Margo (Tom) Griesman and Robert (Karen) Voss; grandchildren, Sarah Lidholm, Andrew (Radonna) Griesman and Erin Christa (Mike) Voss; great-grandchildren, Andora, Calliope, Benjamin, Jeremiah and Kenneth; and godchildren, Anne Buechner and Miriam Kolodziej. She is preceded in death by her parents, Reginald and Evelyn Mallman; brother, Thomas Mallman; great-granddaughter, Gabriella. Visitation for Marcia will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 9:00 - 11:00 am at Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 54971. Funeral service for Marcia will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11:00 am at Messiah Lutheran Church, with Rev. Bryan Fritsch officiating. Interment will take place at Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 54971.
