Ada C. Boelk, age 97, of Michalene’s in Ripon, passed away Monday morning, November 17, 2003, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born April 16, 1906, in Waukesha County, the daughter of Charles and Grace (St. George) Butcher. On September 15, 1928, she married Alfred “Jim” Boelk, and he passed away on September 14, 1982. Ada had lived in Ripon since 1972, and for many years had been secretary at Messiah Lutheran Church before retiring. Ada was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and had been involved in many church activities.
Survivors include her son, Ronald (Charlotte) Boelk of Sarona; 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Joyce Cetton; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral service for Ada C. Boelk will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2003, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Fritsch officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Messiah Lutheran Church in her name.
