Adelaide B. Corliss, age 84, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 1985, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Adelaide was born December 26, 1900, in Ripon, WI, the daughter of Otto and Phoebe (Bloom) Buchholz. She graduated from Ripon High School and Ripon College. Adelaide married Donovan Corliss on January 3, 1920. She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, active in Red Cross and worked as a volunteer for the Blood Bank Program for many years. Adelaide was also a member of the Ripon Education Club, the Historical Society of Ripon and the Treasurer of Nepeuskun Cemetery Association.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Yokers of Hales Corners, WI and Carol Anderson of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, husband, one brother and one sister.
Visitation for Adelaide will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 1985, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home.
Funeral Service for Adelaide will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 1985, at 10:00 am at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church with Reverend Robert J.C. Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Nepeuskun Cemetery in the Town of Nepeuskun. A memorial has been established for St. Peter’s Church.
