Adele Joanne Stieber, age 83, of Ripon, WI, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Ripon Medical Center surrounded by family.
Adele was born July 28, 1930, in Chicago, the daughter of Zygmunt and Ursula (Cejner) Sadowski. She graduated from Steinmetz High School in Chicago. In 1953, Adele married Daniel Paul Stieber in Chicago. She worked for 12 years for the Pardeeville Police Department as a secretary.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Daniel P. Stieber, Sr. of Ripon; five children, Daniel (Hedy) Stieber, Jr. of Grand Chute, WI, Christopher (Sandy) Stieber of Ripon, Anne Stieber of Asheville, NC, Thomas (Lee Holzapfel) Stieber of Maple Grove, MN and Kathryn Stieber of Chicago; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Medarda “Medge” (Robert) Skowron of Arlington Heights, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. Adele was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert and Raymond and three sisters, Virginia, Eleanore and Gloria.
Visitation for Adele will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2013, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
A prayer service for Adele will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2013, at 2:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Father John Schmitz will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Foundation for Ripon Medical Center, 933 Newbury St., Ripon, WI 54971.
