Adeline A. McCullagh, age 90, of Ripon, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon, WI on Wednesday, December 3, 2008.
Adeline was born on May 16, 1918, in the Town of Metomen, the daughter of Robert and Charlotte (Drahiem) Voight. She married Robert McCullagh on July 26, 1963, at Our Saviour’s UCC in Ripon. She worked at the Grand View Hotel in Ripon, Ripon Knitting Works, Speed Queen (during WWII), and in the 60’s and 70’s she worked for Zaug’s Vending Service serving coffee to the Speed Queen office staff. Adeline enjoyed gardening and spending time with her beloved family who meant the world to her and her to them.
Survivors include her husband, Robert McCullagh of Ripon; one daughter, Bonnie (Voight) Coles of Ripon; three grandchildren, Michelle (Kyle) Beilke of Rockton, IL, Kevin Coles of Ripon, and Tonya (Brad) Umbarger of Jefferson, WI; two great-grandchildren, Madeline Wells of Madison, WI, and Noah Beilke of Rockton, IL; two step-children, Barbara Mazance of Huntingburg, IN, and David McCullagh of Jasper, IN; eleven step-grandchildren, Patricia Mazance, Angela Mazanec, Coleen (Brandon) LoBianco, Shannon (Chris) Hurley, Sarah McCullagh, Jan (Jim) Kowalewski, JoLee (Jim) Heiman, July (John) Pfalzgraf, Jon (Barb) Coles, Jayne (Don) Beier; and many step-great-grandchildren. She also left behind many special nieces and nephews. Adeleine was preceded in death by her parents; one step-son, Kenneth McCullagh; four brothers, Ed, Henry, Alfred, and Eric Voight; one sister, Regina Forbes; several sisters and brothers-in Law; four nieces, Donna Voight, Susie Voight, Lorraine Hielsberg and Betty Sauer; four nephews, LeRoy, Leo, Russell and Dennis Voight; one son-in-law, Melvin Coles; one step-grandchild, Jean Hale; and one step-great-grandchild, Michael Beier.
Visitation for Adeline McCullagh will be held on from 11-12:00 noon, on Monday, December 8, 2008, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Adeline McCullagh will be held at 12:00 noon, on Monday, December 8, 2008, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, with the Reverend Mark R. West officiating. Interment will follow in Fairwater Cemetery, Village of Fairwater. A memorial has been established in her name.
