Adeline Louise Thelke, age 98 of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
Adeline was born on November 24, 1911, in Wisconsin, the daughter of August and Elizabeth (Krusel) Sherlock. She graduated from Princeton High School and on October 12, 1936, Adeline married George Arthur Thelke in Green Lake, WI. She helped her husband on the family farm, was a housewife and also worked as a cleaning lady at Ripon Hospital for twenty years. Adeline was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Wuestenhagen of Oshkosh, WI; one granddaughter, Linda (Kevin) McCarty of Omro; two great-granddaughters, Michelle Buskirk of Omro, WI, and Sherry (Ben) Jenkel of Sun Prairie, WI; one great-great grandson, Mick Schultz. Adeline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, son and daughter-in-law; George W. (Karen) Thelke; infant son, Edward; granddaughter, Debra Wuestenhagen; and son-in-law, Kenneth Wuestenhagen.
Visitation for Adeline Thelke will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010, from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Adeline Thelke will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Paul W. Nulton will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials can be given to Hospice Advantage, 1020 S. Main Street, Fond du Lac, WI 54935 in Adeline’s name.
