Alan L. Jones, age 44, of Ripon, WI, passed away on January 23, 1993, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.
He was born on May 2, 1948, in Belle Center, WI, a son of Fred and Margie (Dobson) Jones. He was educated in Boscobel and Fennimore. On October 22, 1986, he married Susan Dietrich. Alan was sales manager for Wisconsin Power and Light in Ripon and Berlin. He had lived in Ripon the last two years, and prior to that time in Marion. He was president of Trees for Tomorrow, member of Ripon Rotary and Ripon Community Development Corporation, and board member of the Ripon Revitalization Corporation.
In addition to his wife Susan, he is survived by one son, Charles Jones of Sacramento, CA; two daughters, Stacia and Krista, both at home; three brothers, Gordon of Rockford, IL, and Lloyd and Chuck, both of Boscobel; two sisters, Gloria Dawley of Belvidere and Gail Owens of Madison; and his mother Margie Owens of Boscobel. His father preceded him in death.
Funeral services for Alan L. Jones will be held Thursday, January 28, 1993, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon. The Reverend Art Volkmann will officiate. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. A memorial has been established.
