Alban Campbell, Sr., age 88, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 1986 at Parkview Nursing Home.
Alban was born on May 7, 1898 in Holland, WI, the son of William and Anna (Glasheen) Campbell. He was educated in Holland, and on August 25, 1922 he married Rachel Campbell. Alban was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a Charter Member of Knights of Columbus and Catholic Foresters.
Alban is survived by his wife, Rachel of Ripon, WI; four sons, John Campbell, Jr. of Ripon, WI, Dr. Gerald Campbell of Santa Cruz, CA, William Campbell of Oshkosh, WI, and Michael Campbell of Green Bay, WI; six daughters, Mary Lois (James) Kuehn of Ripon, WI, Pat (James) Seidl also of Ripon, WI, Connie (John) Marabella of Honolulu, HA, Rachel (Robert) Espinosa of Jamaica, Bernadette (Paul) Weiske and Catherine Treptow both of Ripon, WI; 24 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth (Thomas) Campbell of Green Bay and Mary (Bert) Van Abel both of Green Bay, WI; and one brother, Willard Campbell of Kaukauna, WI. He is preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation for Alban will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:30 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 1986 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, with Knights of Columbus Rosary at 6:30 pm and Parish Rosary at 8:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Alban will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 30, 1986 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon, with Reverend John A. Schmitz officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established for St. Patrick Catholic Church.
