Albert Dahms

Albert Carl Dahms, age 81, of Ripon, died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Ripon Medical Center.

He was born January 6, 1918, in the Town of Ripon, a son to Carl and Marie (Helmer) Dahms. He attended country school, and later served in the Army during WWII from June 1941.October 1945. On October 12, 1946, he married Jessie Hulda Zimmerman. Albert farmed in the Town of Green Lake for over 30 years. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake and was a life member of Maddox-Henslin American Legion Post #378, Fairwater.

He is survived by 2 brothers, Alfred (Lillian) Dahms of Princeton and Richard (Marion) Dahms of Fond du Lac; 2 sisters, Erma Koplin and Margaret Jolly, both of Ripon; sister-in-law, lone Pischke of Green Lake; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Elmer and Ruth Kapp of Ripon, many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and special friend, Barbara Grahn of Ripon. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jessie on July 23, 1982, and 3 sisters.

Funeral service will be Thursday, March 18, 1999, at 2 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with the Rev. Rodney Dietsche officiating. Interment will be in Bluffton Cemetery, Town of Brooklyn. Friends may call on Thursday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.
