Albert Klaver, age 83, of Green Lake, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2008, at Berlin Memorial Hospital in Berlin surrounded by his family.
Albert was born on March 25, 1925, in Harrison, WI, the son of Sievert and Mary Klaver. He attended school in Harrison and served his country in the US Air Force. On April 23, 1949, he married Roanne McConnell in Ripon. Albert owned Klaver Construction from 1951-1991. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Lions, and instrumental in developing the Animal Shelter and Green Lake Industrial Park. He was an active Legion and bank board member for over 30 years. Albert had a love of woodworking, gardening and trees. He loved to share his gifts and talents with his family and friends.
Survivors include his daughters, Diane Keeler of Green Lake, Linda Klaver (Ken Frank) of Minneapolis, MN, Nell (Raymond) Hudzinski of Princeton, and Cindy (David) Benson of Volga, SD; grandchildren, Owen (Karin) Keeler of Ripon, Jason (Tammi) Keeler of Ripon, Simon Frank of Colorado, Helen Frank of New York, Sarah Hudzinski of Princeton, Cassie (Glenn) Bornick of Princeton, Adam (Krista) Benson, Nellie (Brandon) Berkenpas, and Andy Benson all of South Dakota; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Albert is preceded in death by his loving wife, Roanne, daughter, Mary, son, Ted, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Visitation for Albert Klaver will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2008, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake.
Memorial Service for Albert Klaver will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Philip Krogman officiating. Inurnment will be held in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. Memorials may be given to: Green Lake Animal Shelter, N6217 Busse Drive. PO Box 86, Green Lake, WI 54941.
