Albert F. Purath, Jr. age 72, of Ripon, WI, passed away on May 1, 1987, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Albert was born June 3, 1914, in Germany, the son of Albert and Elzbeth (Schwartz) Purath. On December 25, 1938, he married Bernice Graff in Wheaton, IL. Albert worked as a machinist at Chicago Rivet Company. He came to the United States when he was 14 years old and lived in Lombard, IL and spent his last five years in Ripon.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice; two sons, Albert Purath III of Oshkosh and Glenn Purath of Fairborn, OH; six grandchildren, one great-grandson and one sister, Hilda Steidley of Winter Park, FL.
Visitation for Albert will be held Sunday, May 3, 1987, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Albert will be held Monday, May 4, 1987, at 10:30 am at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon with The Reverend William G. Fenker officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Oshkosh.
