Albert Schlaff

February 24, 1913 — September 20, 1994

Albert Schlaff, 81, of Green Lake, WI and formerly of Beaver Dam, died at his home on September 20, 1994.

He was born February 24, 1913, in Bakersville, MN, the son of Benjamin and Mary Ginsterbloom Schlaff. In 1943, he married Helen Schultz and she passed away in 1966. He then married Vivian Zanto in 1968, and she passed away in 1973. He married his current wife, Ruth Janes Thrasher in 1975. Mr. Schlaff worked at Monarch Range in Beaver Dam until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two sons, Gordon Schlaff of Miami Beach, FL and Allen (Grace) Schlaff of Tuscon, AZ; five step-sons, Ronald Zanto of Beaver Dam, Joseph Thrasher of Green Lake, Charles Thrasher of Wautoma, Gary Thrasher of Princeton and Keith Thrasher of Green Lake; and two step-daughters, Donna Orhmandt of Randolph and Lynne Hartman of Green Lake. He is further survived by twenty four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Schlaff of Beaver Dam and Walter Schlaff of New Auburn. He was preceded in death by two wives, one sister and one step-daughter.

Funeral Service for Albert Schlaff will be at 10:30 am Friday, September 23, 1994, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Kent Meyer will officiate. Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
