Aldon “Tubby” R. Keplin, age 87, of Brandon, WI, passed away, Saturday, January 31, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Aldon was born January 12, 1928, in the Township of Brooklyn, Green Lake, WI, son of William and Emma (Steinke) Keplin. On October 30, 1954, Aldon married Anita Schultz at Evangelical United Brethren Church in Ripon. Aldon loved to spend time with his wife and family whom he loved very much. When he wasn’t with his family he was hard at work on the dairy farm, his second love. Aldon had a true passion for farming and his John Deere tractors. He loved the land and he loved the Lord. Aldon understood the meaning of hard work and the reward that comes with it.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Keplin of Brandon, WI; son, Dennis (Marilyn) Keplin of Brandon; daughters, Debra (Joe) Gonyo of Berlin, WI, and Anita (K.J.) Wrobel of Arlington, TX; two sisters, Erna Weich and Dolores Ingersoll both of Ripon, WI, three sisters-in-law, Esther Stellmacher of Ripon, Eileen Moore of San Diego, CA, and Betty (Denny) Sommers of Tifton, GA; seven grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Anderson of Waunakee, WI, Peter (Kristen) Gonyo of Berlin, WI, Jonathan Gonyo also of Berlin, Mason, Courtney, and David Wrobel all of Arlington, TX, and Kaila Keplin of Brandon, WI; four great grandchildren, Adelyn and Lucas Anderson along with Alexa and Sophia Gonyo. Aldon is preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma Keplin; mother and father in-law, Gottlieb and Helene Schultz; daughter, Denise Keplin; sister, Elsie (Roland) Krueger and three brothers, Edison (Erma) Koplin, Eric Keplin, and Clarence (Avice) Keplin; four brothers in-law, Harold Weich, Clayton Ingersoll, Paul Baber, and Dick Moore.
Visitation for Aldon R. Keplin will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, from 4 – 7:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 401 West Fond du Lac St., Ripon WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Aldon R. Keplin will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon. Pastor Joshua Pegram will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established.
