Alfred B. Braun, age 76, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 1992, at his home.

He was born January 16, 1916, in Calvary, WI to Michael and Bertha (Berger) Braun. He was educated in Mt. Calvery. He married Anne Jaworski on June 12, 1940. He served in the United States Army from 1943 until 1946.

In 1938, Al opened and operated The Grill Restaurant in Ripon. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon and of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of V.F.W. Post #5278 and of Tuscumbia Golf Club and a former member of the Ripon Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to his wife Anne, he is survived by one son, James (Claire) Braun of Ripon; one daughter Judith (Thomas) Dudzinski of Ripon; seven grandchildren, Christine, Victoria, Alison, and Toni Braun, and Teresa, Mark and Michael Dudzinski; five brothers, Raymond and Victor, both of Fond du Lac, his twin brother Ambrose of Waupun, Oscar of St. Cloud and Alois of St. Peter. His parents and three brothers preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 1992 at the Butzin- Marchant Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 8:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 22, 1992 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Ripon. The Reverend William L. Toelle will officiate. Entombment will be in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac. Memorials in his name may be directed to Hospice Hope or St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Ripon.
