Alfred Martin Bumgardner, age 68, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Michalene’s in Ripon.
Alfred was born August 14, 1944, in Springfield, IL, the son of Alfred M. and Annie Geraldine (Buckles) Bumgardner. He graduated from Petersburg High School in Petersburg, IL and went on to serve our country in the Army National Guard of Illinois. He worked as a Truck Driver for Stevens Implement (John Deere) for 27 years.
Alfred is survived by his sister, LuEllen Thurmon of Springfield, IL, brother, Emory (Sara) Bumgardner of Atlanta, IL, brother Gerald Bumgardner of Springfield, IL, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is further survived by K. Deann Graham of Ripon, WI, Alfred’s life partner of 23 plus years, and her family, Vikki (Kendall) VanBuren of Ripon, WI, Jay (Brenda) Graham of Ripon, WI, Rick Graham of Battle Creek, MI, Tom (Kim) Graham of Pontiac, IL, Steve (Hope) Graham of Jacksonville, IL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and Marty who was adopted into the family years ago. Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother.
Per the family’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. A memorial is being established.
