Alfred E. Hasse, age 93, of 1133 Dartford Rd., Ripon, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2004, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
Alfred was born October 26, 1910, in Ripon, the son of Emma (Huth) and Emil Hasse. He attended Ripon schools and was a farmer in the Ripon area his entire life. On June 19, 1937, he married Ruth Albright. They were married 67 years. Alfred was a lifelong member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ, Ripon, serving on the Church Council, as an usher, and played on the church dartball team. He enjoyed bowling and playing cards with friends after retirement. Alfred also took great pleasure in watching wildlife and enjoying the beauty of Gods creation.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth, of Ripon; daughter, Bonnie Felix of Appleton; two granddaughters, Pamela (Russell) Wyland of Appleton and Sharon Felix of Long Beach, CA.; two great-grandsons, Tyler and Alec Wyland, both of Appleton; two brothers, Lester (Bernice) Hasse of Pickett, and Leo (Gerta) Hasse of Tucson, AZ. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Laura Miller, Linda Jones, Edna Hasse, and Kelly Wilsie; and brother, Albert Hasse.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2004, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m., all at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, City of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
