Alfred Otto Penke, age 79, of theTown of Ripon, died December 15, 1998, at University Hospital in Madison.
He was born October 16, 1919, in Ripon, a son of the late Otto and
Julia (Hopp) Penke. He attended school in Ripon, and served in the U.S.
Army during World War II. Alfred had worked as a machinist at Speed
Queen in Ripon for 30 years, and was a member of the Union.
He is survived by 1 sister, Hazel Perry of Ripon; 2 nieces, Diane
Penke of Oshkosh and Jean Holzman of Fond du Lac; 1 nephew, Darwin
Penke of Port Edwards; 1 great-niece and 1 great-nephew; 1 sister-in-law,
Anita Penke of Oshkosh, and special friends, Lou Ann McCullagh, Sharon
Leinweber, and Vickie Rhode. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 1
brother.
Visitation will Friday, December 18, 1998, from 4 until 7 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home and again on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Funeral service will be Saturday,December 19, 1998, at 11 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. David Busker officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
