Alice E. Brown, age 89, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, February 7, 1992, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 23, 1903, in Fairwater, a daughter to Louis and Sarah (Siegel) Carter. She attended Ripon Schools and Ripon College and made the Ripon area her home for most of her life. On December 27, 1947, she married Warren Brown. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1967. Alice was a member of the First Congregational Church of Ripon and was an active supporter of Ripon College and it’s liberal arts program.
She is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and brother.
Visitation for Alice will be held on February 12, 1992, from 12 – 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Alice will be held on February 12, 1992, at 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend James Mohr will officiate and interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery in the Town of Metomen. A memorial has been established in her name.
