Alice E. Buchholz, age 92, of Ripon, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Ripon Medical Center, Ripon.
Alice was born on October 5, 1914 the daughter of Emil and Ida (Jahns) Nitz in Wautoma, WI. She attended school in Princeton and worked as a housewife. She also worked at the Advertisers, Ripon College, and at the Eggplant during WWII. On May 3, 1931 she married Herbert Buchholz in Ripon, where they made their home. Alice was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert Buchholz, son; James (Hazel) Buchholz of Holgate, Ohio, daughter; Joann (Melvin) Ingram. Three grandchildren; Robin Ingram, James (Cathy) Buchholz, and Theresa (James) Miller. One sister; Margaret Buchholz of Ripon. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, three brother-in-laws, two sister-in-laws, and several nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her son; Herbert Buchholz, Jr., two brothers, and three sisters.
Private Funeral Services for Alice Buchholz will be held at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Nulton officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon.
