Alice Darrow, age 95, of Ripon, WI, died February 18, 1988 at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
Alice was born December 24, 1892 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Edward Norman and Jennie Grace (Cornwell) Darrow. She graduated from the University of Michigan and received her Masters from Columbia University in New York. She was a missionary nurse in China during the 1920’s. Alice received nurses training at St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac and was also a registered nurse at Ripon College and Kemper Clinic.
Survivors include three nieces, Ann Barber Hallock of Pueblo West, Colorado, Jane Barber Emerson of Emporia, Kansas and Janet Kempton Goodman of Atlanta, Georgia; nephew, Thomas Edwin Darrow of White House Station, New Jersey; six grand-nieces and four grand-nephews.
Visitation for Alice will be held on Monday, February 22, 1988, from 1 – 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Alice will be held on Monday, February 22, 1988, at 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with the Reverend William Barnhart officiating. Inurnment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Homer, Michigan.
