Alice Kemnitz

August 11, 1915 — January 8, 1989

Mrs. Alice Irene Kemnitz, 73, of Route #1, Markesan, died Sunday, January 8, 1989, at Milwaukee County Medical Complex.

She was born August 11, 1915, in Markesan to Carl and Helena Schwanke Heitmann Sr. On September 29, 1934, she married Irving R. Kemnitz.

Mrs. Kemnitz was educated in Lake View School in Green Lake County. She was a housewife and had lived in the Markesan area all her life. Mrs. Kemnitz was a member of Kingdom hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Roger and Rodney both of Markesan; three daughters, Mrs. Vilas (Nancy) Sprecher of Prairie du Sac, Mona Marie Kemnitz of Ripon and Mrs. Scott (Marlo) Janas of Irving, Texas; three granddaughters and one grandson; two brothers, Glenn Heitmann Sr. of Markesan and Carl Heitmann Jr. of Tuscon, Arizona and one sister, Dorothy Berg of Markesan. Her parents and two sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Green Lake Center Cemetery in the Town of Green Lake.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 pm until 7:30 pm at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for the Kingdom Hall Building Fund.
