Alice Triemstra, age 85, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 1986, at Oshkosh Care Center.
Alice was born on August 17, 1901, in Marquette County, WI, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Kunnert) Schultz. She was educated in Little Mecan. She married Milton Oakes Sr. who passed in 1939 and then she was remarried to Charles Triemstra from 1952 – 1975. She worked as a retail clerk at Chipmans Department Store and worked with her husband in an upholstery business for several years. Alice was a member of the Ripon Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley (Rhinold) Malzhan of Omro and Jean (Darrell) Brey of Oshkosh; three sons, Milton Oakes of Ripon, Ralph Oaks of Manitowoc and Gregory Oakes of Sacramento, CA; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two step-sons, George Triemstra of Beaver Dam and Clarence Triemstra of Dalton and one sister, Esther LeAnna of Racine. She was preceded in death by her two husbands.
Visitation for Alice will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 1986, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Alice will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 1986, at 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Bearss officiating. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established.
