Allen P. Gilles, age 92, formerly of LaCrosse, WI, passed away Monday afternoon, July 26, 2004, at Parkview Care Center of Ripon, WI.
He was born August 26, 1911, in Plum City, WI, the son of John and Mary (Schmidt) Gilles. He graduated from high school in LaCrosse. Allen worked 35 years for Northern Engraving and then 13 years for Yahr Lang Drug Company before his retirement. He was a member of St. James’s Catholic Church of LaCrosse and St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins; great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Loretta Dolske of Omro, WI; and brother-in-law, Boyd Kelly of Tyler, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Roy, Lawrence and Vernon Gilles; and 1 sister, Marion Kelly.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 28, 2004, from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. The Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Interment will be in LaCrosse.
