Allen E. Stibb, age 54, of Ripon, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 20, 2012, in Marquette County, WI.
Allen was born on July 19, 1958, in Ripon, the son of Harold and Helen (Fleegal) Stibb. He graduated from Ripon High School and went onto further his education at Moraine Park Technical College receiving his Associate Degree in Accounting. On June 5, 1982, Allen married JoAnne Blada at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. Allen worked at Diedrich Jewelers in Ripon and Berlin for over 25 years. His more recent years, Allen worked at Condon Companies as a Manager of Sales and Distribution in Ripon.
Allen was a hard worker with outstanding work ethics, a loving husband and faithful father. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he looked forward to his yearly hunting trip to North Dakota with his brother, Darrell. Allen coached for different youth sports. He enjoyed watching his children’s events, golfing with his family, traveling with JoAnne and spending time with his family and friends. He was in the Lutheran Brotherhood when he was a child and as an adult, Allen was a very active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon all of his life, serving the church in many ways. He was a board member on the Webster Foundation and was a member of Wings over Wisconsin and Ducks Unlimited.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, JoAnne of Ripon, WI; two sons, Joshua Stibb, currently living at the Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN and Derek Stibb of Ripon, WI; two brothers, Howard (Judy) Stibb of Ripon, WI and Darrell (Jill) Stibb of Waupun, WI; sister-in-law, Rita Stibb of New London, WI; brother-in-law, Jeff (Terri) Blada of Baraboo, WI and mother and father-in-law, Ronald and Evelynn Blada of Montello, WI; nieces and nephews, Torey, Troy, Megan, Eric, Cory, Allison, Brandon, Tom, Calvin, Nicole and Danielle. He is further survived by aunts, uncles and cousins. Allen is preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Jason and his brother, Bobby.
Visitation for Allen will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, from 3 – 6:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Allen will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at 6:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Clay R. Salmela will officiate. Private family inurnment will follow the next day at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established.
