Alma Sherwood Wildes, 86, of W2111 State Road Hwy 23, Green Lake, passed away February 10, 1994, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.
She was born on January 8, 1908, in the Town of Brooklyn, a daughter to the late William A. and Bertha (Gehrke) Sherwood. Alma was a graduate of Ripon College with a major in Chemistry and mathematics. On July 26, 1941, she married Leslie A. Wildes. She was a charter member of the 23 Homemakers Club, Green Lake County; a member of the Federated Church of Green Lake, and former pre-school Sunday School teacher at the Federated Church of Green Lake.
In addition to her husband, Leslie, she is survived by 1 daughter, Ellen Wildes of Amherst; and I sister, Mrs. Wilhelmine (Earl) Williams of Green Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral services for Alma Wildes will be Monday, February 14, 1994, at 11:00 a.m. at the Federated Church of Green Lake. The Reverend Kent Meyer will officiate. Inurnment will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. A memorial has been established for the Federated Church of Green Lake.
