Alta R. Davis, 93, Ripon, WI, died January 1, 1994, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
She was born December 10, 1900, in Madison, WI, a daughter to Harmon and Emma (Bewick) Halverson. She attended the University of Whitewater and on June 11, 1932, she married Leo D. Davis. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1988. Alta and her husband Leo owned the Culligan Soft Water Service in Ripon, where she was secretary until her retirement in 1966. Mrs. Davis was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon and a member of the Order of Eastern Star #151.
Nieces and nephews survive. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers.
Funeral Service for Alta Davis, conducted by the Eastern Star, will be Wednesday evening at 7 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Visitation is from 6:30 pm until the time of service. Inurnment will be at a later date at Windsor Cemetery in Dane County.
