Amber M. Schultz, age 95, of Ripon, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Ripon Medical Center, with her family at her side.
Amber was born on July 25, 1914, in Waushara County, the daughter of Herman and Katie (Lind) Kissinger. She attended Bushville schools, and on October 22, 1938, she married Harry August Schultz at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church (is now, Our Saviours United Church of Christ) in Ripon, was a member of Our Saviours U.C.C. as well as being on the Ladies Aide, Altar Guild, and a Quilting Queen. Amber was also a 4-H Leader and a Green Lake County Homemaker member. She always supported her grandchildren in all their activities, a lot of the time in her little red wagon, blowing the horn, to show her support, when they did something good. Amber worked along with her husband on the farm and was a homemaker. Her greatest joy in her life was keeping her hands busy. Amber loved to cross-stitch, giving many hand made gifts to friends and family, baking and cooking for friends and neighbors in their time of need, catering for those many special events in peoples life, and quilting for not only family but quilts given to children thru church work and always doing those special things for her family, her hands were always there. She loved to be a friend to anyone and was not afraid to make new friends or shoot the breeze with anyone.
Survivors include her children, Donald (Barb) Schultz of Ripon, Barbara (Robert) Schouten of Green Lake, and James (Mary) Schultz of Ripon; Grandchildren, Hope Schultz of Sun Prairie, John (Tori) Schultz of Appleton, Christine (David) Kelm of Madison, Karen Schultz of Sheboygan Falls, Laura Schultz of Fond du Lac, Jeremy Schouten of Green Lake, and Alan Schouten of Green Lake; great-grandchildren, Donovan and Annika Schultz of Appleton, Owen Kelm of Madison, and Matthew Schultz of Sun Prairie; sister-in-law, Carolyn Schultz; nephews, Darwin and Larry Schultz; and many cousins. Amber was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry; one daughter, Jean Amber; and two brothers, Edward and Ward.
Visitation for Amber M. Schultz will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010, from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and again on Friday, March 19, 2010, from 10-11:00 a.m. at Our Saviours United Church of Christ, 343 Scott Street, in Ripon.
Funeral service for Amber M. Schultz will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon, with the Reverend Mark R. West officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established in her name.
