Amelia Henriksen

Amelia “Amy” Lavina Henriksen, age 80, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.

Amy was born May 24, 1935, in Strongs Prairie, WI, the daughter of Jasper Kelly and Velletah (Wallace) Lovelace. She graduated from Adams Friendship High School. In 1953, Amy married Duane Henriksen at the First Congregational Church in Friendship. She was an active member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon also volunteering her time in the Altar Guild at church. Amy enjoyed bowling and continued to sponsor a bowling league and was also a KOPS member of TOPS. She loved to travel going to Jamaica, St. Thomas, Hawaii and traveling to Alaska on a cruise that she had earned from her in home party sales. Amy loved playing games so much her family calls her a “gameaholic”. Amy also loved to plant and tend to her flowers, taking trips to casinos and feeding the chipmunks. She loved life and would give endless hugs.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Thomas) Heitmann of Beaver Dam, WI and Debra (David) Hahn of Ripon, WI; one son, Alan (Becky) Henriksen of Ripon, WI; special friend, William Albrecht of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, Katherine (Nick) Heitmann, Matthew (Rachel) Heitmann, Brent (Julie) Heitmann, Heather (Jeff) Lauffer, Scott (Ashley) Bahr, Christina (Clint) Whitehouse, Felicia (Kenneth) Keifer, Robin (Aaron) Ahlswede, Khalen (Ashley) Henriksen, Jessica (Marvin) Santos, Jamie (DJ) Henriksen, Shannon (Andrew) McGeehan, Sara (Josh) Heine, Derek (Angela) Henriksen, Elizabeth and Amber Henriksen and 28 great-grandchildren. Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Velletah; husband, Duane; son, Gordon Kelly Henriksen; grandson, Devan Henriksen; brother, James Kelly Lovelace.

Visitation for Amy will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016, from 9 – 12:00 pm at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral Service for Amy will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at 12:00 pm at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell will officiate. Interment will follow at Green Lake Center Cemetery in the Town of Green Lake. A memorial is being established in her name.
