Amelia Smith, age 94, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 1956, at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
Amelia was born February 3, 1862, in Germany, the daughter of Christian and Amelia (Machiel) Radke. She moved from Germany to Ripon at the age of 9. Amelia married William Smith on October 9, 1883 and was a member of the Methodist church all of her life.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Dora Witt, with whom Mrs. Smith resided; two grandsons, Mr. Lawrence Witt of Lakeworth, FL and Mr. Herbert Witt of Glendale, CA; two granddaughters, Mrs. Evelyn Lunderville of Glendale, CA and Mrs. Mable Haase of Chico, CA; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call on Friday, October 26, 1956, after 12:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Amelia will be held on Saturday, October 27, 1956, at 2:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home with The Reverend Douglas O. Anderson officiating. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon.
