Mrs. Amy Gneiser, age 77, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 1991, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
Amy was born July 18, 1914, in Oostburg, a daughter to S. Edward and Jen (Grotenhuis) Huibregtse. She graduated from Ripon High School. Amy’s first marriage was to Roy Wentland from 1938 until he was killed in action on December 18, 1942. On December 21, 1945, she married nelson “Nellie” A. Gneiser. She worked in the office at the Ripon Knitting Works and at Tuscumbia Country Club. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Ripon.
Survivors include her husband Nelson; two daughters, Anne Dugdale of Littleton, CO, and Nancy Hood of Longmont, CO; four grandchildren; and one sister, Anne Schneider of Ripon. Two brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call on the family from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 1991, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Amy Gneiser will be held Thursday, December 19, 1991, at 1:30 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with the Reverend Catherine Carlson officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established for the Congregational Church and the Cancer Fund.
