Anita A. Keplin

Anita Anna Keplin, age 90, of Brandon, WI, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Maplecrest Manor. 

Anita was born June 24, 1934 in Fond du Lac, WI, daughter of Gottlieb and Helene (Krueger) Schultz. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1953 and took business classes in Oshkosh. On October 30, 1954, Anita married Aldon Keplin at Evangelical United Brethren Church in Ripon. 

Anita was a traditional and talented farm wife who could do countless things. Her peaceful soul made the farm feel like a second home for all of her family. She held every holiday meal at the farm. She cherished spending time with family. Anita was an active member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church by being involved with Priscilla Circle and teaching Sunday school. Music was a special part of her life, she sang in the choir, played piano, and was a member of the Gospel Lite Trio. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and volunteering at the voting polls. 

She is survived by her son, Dennis (Marilyn) Keplin of Brandon, WI; daughters, Debra (Joe) Gonyo of Berlin, WI, and Anita (K.J.) Wrobel of Arlington, TX; seven grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Anderson of Lodi, WI, Peter (Kristen) Gonyo of Berlin, WI, Jonathan Gonyo of Berlin, Mason of Fort Worth, TX, Courtney of Arlington, TX, David Wrobel of Scottsdale, AZ, Kaila Keplin of Ripon, WI; six great-grandchildren, Adelyn, Lucas, and Gwyneth Anderson along with Alexa, Sophia, and Jeremiah Gonyo; sisters, Eileen Moore of San Diego, CA, and Betty (Denny) Sommers of Tifton, GA; and other relatives and friends. Anita is preceded in death by her parents, Gottlieb and Helene Schultz; husband, Aldon Keplin; daughter, Denise Keplin; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Anita will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 401 West Fond du Lac St, Ripon WI 54971.

A Funeral Service for Anita will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11:00 am at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon, with Rev. Dr. Heather Brewer officiating.
