Anna V. Karpinski, age 89, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 1992, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
She was born at sea on January 4, 1903, to Paul and Rose (Dietrich) Schneckenberg, as they were emigrating from Germany to the United States. On July 8, 1930, she married Edward J. Karpinski in Ripon. She lived in the Ripon area all of her life and worked at the Ripon Knitting Works. Anna was a top-notch homemaker and enjoyed her flowers, liked to embroider and crochet, and loved to square dance. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon and the Alter and Rosary Sodality.
Surviving are three brothers, John (Margaret) Schneckenberg and Frank Schneckenberg, both of Ripon and Max Schneckenberg of Madison and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Saturday, May 23, 1992, from 10 to 11:00 am at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Ripon. Reverend William L. Toelle will officiate. Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon.
