Anna Schmitt, age 75 of Ripon, WI passed away on Friday, May 11, 1956 at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
Anna was born in Beaver Dam, WI on April 26, 1881, the daughter of Christian and Marie Schmitt. She never married and worked as a clerk at the Mattice-Foster Department Store and also was co-owner of Johnson's Dress Shop. She has resided in Beaver Dam, WI and in Ripon for over 50 years. Anna was a member of the Alter Society of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Ripon.
Anna is survived by her three sisters, Margaret Schmitt of Beaver Dam, WI; S.M.Digua of Elm Grove, WI, and M. Ercola of Belleville, IL; and several nieces and nephews. She as preceded in death by her parents, Christian and Marie Schmitt.
Visitation for Anna will be held from 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 12, 1956 until 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 13, 1956 at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon, and again from 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 13, 1956 until 10:00 am on Monday, May 14, 1956 at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.
Funeral service for Anna will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 14, 1956 at St. Peter's Church of Beaver Dam, WI, with Reverend Raymond Miller officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery also in Beaver Dam.
