Anthony “Ant” Alvin, 18, of Green Lake, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2010, in Gemini Bridges, near Moab, Utah.

Anthony was born in Berlin, WI, on July 6, 1992, the son of Lynn Alvin. He attended Green Lake High School where he was in the class of 2011. Ant was a member of the Federated Church of Green Lake, Boy Scout Troop 630 in Green Lake. He was also involved in the Community Option Day Care, the High school Student Council, the Leadership Council, the Green Lake Blood Drive, and Helping Hearts. Ant worked at the Green Lake Conference Center in the food service department.

Survivors include his mother, Lynn (Steve) Lambert of Green Lake; his father, Jerry McConnell of Berlin; one brother, Travis Alvin of Madison; grandmother, Arlene Alvin of Green Lake (special friend Chuck Floyd of Ripon); two step-brothers, Joe and Sean; one step-sister, Niki; grandmother, Lucille Gahart of Libertyville, IL; three uncles, Dale (Julie) Alvin of Glenn Ellyn, IL; Donald Alvin of Seattle, WA; James (Ruth) Alvin of Wheaton, IL; one aunt, Barbara (Richard) Thiel of Princeton. Also surviving are 11 cousins, Robert, Jaclyn, Colleen, DJ, Alexandra, Airel, Anna, Sharon, Andrea, Jayson, and Joseph; Step-aunt, Cathy (Steve) Mlodzik of Ripon; and step-cousins, Kyle and Mandy; two step-grandmothers, Betty Lambert of Ripon and Dorothy Ewald of Ripon; his extended family, Gina & Tom Boerson; Andrea Reimer; Linda & Jim Winkler; Kelly & Dave, Brendan, and Dominick Daniels; Tammy & Walter, and Amber Reimer; Ann & Alvin Boerson; Christie & Victor Caceres; Jeremy & Keitra Boerson; Elsie Streekstra; and many more extended family and friends. Anthony was preceded in death by his grandpa, Robert Alvin, and great-grandparents, Arnold and Ruth and Harold Gahart.

Visitation for Anthony Alvin will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at the Green Lake High School from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Funeral Service for Anthony Alvin will be held Thursday, July 22, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Green Lake High School, 612 Mill Street, Green Lake, WI 54941, with the Reverends, Karen Gygax Rodriguez and Mark R. West officiating. Interment will follow in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. A memorial is being established.

Dear Anthony,
You were not part of our family in the normal conventional way, but that was never how you did anything in your life. Life, love and fate brought you to us, and you will be forever part of our family. Anthony you will always be in our happiest most treasured memories because you were unique and special. Anyone who knew you couldn’t help but love you. We feel eternally grateful for our too short of time with you. We will love you and miss you forever. Until we meet again!
