Archie Lloyd Morgan, age 65, of Ripon, WI, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 1991, at his home in Ripon.
Archie was born August 23, 1925, in Ripon, a son to Archibald and Anna Morgan. On August 22, 1970, he married Donna Ropson. Mr. Morgan served in the Navy during WWII. He was employed at Speed Queen in Ripon until his retirement. He was past secretary of United Steel Workers of America Local #1317. He was a member of the Ripon Fire Department for 36 years and was a charter member of the Ripon Auxiliary Police. He was a member of the American Legion Brown-Parfitt Post #43. He had been a 9 gallon blood donor for the Red Cross.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; one daughter, Hannah Morgan of Oshkosh; one step-son, Blaine Ropson of Rubicon; five step-daughters, Karrie (Dale) Prellwitz of Milwaukee, Kim Ropson and Kathleen Ropson both of Oshkosh, Kris Ropson of Omro and Jolene (Jeff) Denzin of Ripon; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Vera (Floyd) Pauls of Madison, Ethel (Harry) Wrightman and Lucy Searl both of Fond du Lac and other relatives and friends. Archie was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation for Archie will be held on Friday, August, 2, 1991, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service for Archie will be held on Saturday, August 3, 1991, at 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend James D. Mohr will officiate. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
