Arden Butch Krause, age 72, Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 1991, at Care Center East, Fond du Lac.
He was born in Rural Ripon on October 8, 1919, a son of the late Alfred and Elsie Hein Krause. He was educated in the Ripon Schools and had worked in the Ripon Area all his life.
He was an M.P. in the U.S. Army and had been stationed in Japan. On April 7, 1945, he married Margaret Lennop, and since that time they had been engaged in farming.
He was a past director of the Ripon Co-op and had been chosen as an outstanding farmer in the Ripon Area. He was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon and was a past church usher. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Arden had been a Ripon Commonwealth weather forecaster for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one daughter, Sandra Krueger and her husband Robert, of Ripon; two grandsons, Scott and Just Krueger; three sisters, Louise Cory and her friend Carl Anderson of Green Lake, Marge (Phil) Prellwitz of Ripon, and Ruby (Roy) Burnett of Fond du Lac; two brothers, his twin brother Arthur (Dolores), and Richard (Pat), both of Ripon; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lawrence.
Friends may call Sunday, October 27, 1991, from 5 until 8:30 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Services for Arden Krause will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Our Saviours United Church of Christ, Ripon. The Reverend James D. Mohr will officiate and interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Town of Metomen. A memorial has been established in his name for Our Saviours United Church of Christ.
