Arla E. Galow, age 81, of Markesan, WI, formerly of Brandon, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Markesan Residence Home.
Arla was born on February 16, 1932, in Markesan, WI, the daughter of Carl and Dora (Klingbeil) Lindeman. She graduated from Ripon High School and worked for over 30 years at M&I State Bank in Ripon. On May 15, 1954, Arla married Orin Galow. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon and also a member of the Garden Club.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Orin Galow of Markesan, WI; son, Gary (Anita) Galow of Macungie, PA; daughter, Sharon Galow; one granddaughter, Kristen Galow of Macungie, PA; two sisters, Sylvia (Verne) Wepner of Oshkosh, WI and Elaine (Eddie) White of Ripon, WI. Arla was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Arla will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2013, from 2 – 5:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Monday, March 25, 2013, from 10 – 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St. Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Arla will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013, at 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St. Ripon, WI 54971. Reverend Clay R. Salmela will officiate. Entombment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 2786 Algoma Blvd. Oshkosh, WI 54901. Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.
