Arlene Ziebell

Arlene R. Ziebell, age 78, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.

Arlene was born April 17, 1935, in Royal Oak, MI, the daughter of Robert and Mildred (Bettin) Owen. She graduated from Royal Oak High School and on February 20, 1954, Arlene married Robert W. Ziebell at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Royal Oak. Arlene was a church secretary in Royal Oak as well as Ripon at Messiah Lutheran Church where she retired in 2007. She was an active member of the church as she was in the Women’s Guild, Women’s Missionary League and the church choir.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Robert W. Ziebell Sr. of Ripon, WI; three children, Robert (Caryl) Ziebell Jr. of Troy, MI, Patricia (Mark) Bethke of Ripon, WI and Kenneth (Debbie) Ziebell of Hazel Park, MI; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Edna DiVitto of Rochester Hills, MI; aunt, Shirley (Mark) Detweiler of Vienna, VA and nieces and nephews. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters-in-law.

Visitation for Arlene will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013, from 1 – 2:00 pm at Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral service for Arlene will be held on Friday, November, 15, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Bryan Fritsch will officiate. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
