Arline Laura Sauer, age 79, passed away January 11, 2003 at her home in Ripon.
Arline was born June 21, 1923 in Ripon, daughter of Amanda Johanna (Ullman) and Paul Rudolph Steinberg, Sr. She graduated from Ripon High School and was employed as a clothing store clerk at Pries and at Kathryns Clothing Stores. She married Lyle Arden Sauer on January 10, 1942 in Ripon. Arline was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ, Ripon, the Womens Guild, Altar Society, VFW Auxillary, Ripon Schmear League, Friendship Card Club, Town & Country Homemakers, a founding member of 6-Mile Corner Homemakers, Golden Girls, and Green Lake Senior Center.
Survivors include her son; David Sauer, Sr. (Betty Wilderman), Ripon. Two daughters; Beverly (Francis) Garro, Princeton and Debra (Todd) Parrish, Omaha, NE. One daughter-in-law; Mary (Arden) Sauer, Ripon. Twelve grandchildren; Jeffrey (Julie) Sauer, Medford, WI., Rosalie (Brian) Bayer, Menominee Falls, WI., Anthony (Pamela) Sauer, Brandon, Kurtis (Jodi) Sauer, Ripon, David Sauer Jr., Denver, CO., Rochelle (Mario) Martinez, Florence, CO., Katharine (Travis) Scott, Park City, KS., Nicholas Garro, West Bend, Marissa Garro, Princeton, Kristin Benson, Portland, OR. and Matthew and Daniel Benson, Omaha, NE. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, her son, Arden, her parents, and three brothers, Harley, William, and Paul Steinberg Jr.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14, 2003 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Services will be Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviours United Church of Christ, Ripon, with a one hour visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Milton K. Staskal will officiate. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, City of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
