Arno Aldis Abendroth, age 89, of Markesan, WI, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Barrett House in Markesan.
Arno was born May 17, 1925, in Markesan, the son of William and Edna (Schwandt) Abendroth. He worked as a farm hand and was a life-long member at United Methodist Church in Markesan.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Sieglinde Abendroth of Markesan, WI; brother-in-law, Frank Zauner of Markesan. Arno is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Arno was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Gretchen (Victor) Roeder Sr., Ada (Leonard) Jaeger, June Zauner, Audrey (Tony) Fabrizio and one brother, William Abendroth.
Visitation for Arno will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 2 – 3:00 pm at United Methodist Church, 74 West Catherine St., Markesan, WI 53946.
Funeral service for Arno will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 3:00 pm at United Methodist Church in Markesan. Pastor Ethan Larson will officiate. Interment will follow at Phelps Cemetery in the Town of Green Lake. Memorials may be directed to United Methodist Church in Markesan.
