Arnold Bornick, age 100, of Ripon, WI, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011, at Michelenes in Ripon.
Arnold was born on July 20, 1911, in the Town of St. Marie, Neshkoro, the son of Gustave and Emellie (Bliefnick) Bornick. On June 24, 1939, he married Regina Maslowski. Arnold worked on farms from 1927 to 1937. He then moved to Ripon and became employed at Ripon Knitting Works for thirty-five years, retiring in 1973. Arnold was a charter member of Mount Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and an usher for over forty years. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Wisconsin Trappers Association. Arnold loved the outdoors, hunting, trapping and fishing and he was also a bee keeper for many years. The last ten years he took care of the flower gardens at Michalenes.
Survivors include godson-nephew, Bernard (Cynthia) Bornick and godson-great-nephew, Mark (Terri) Bornick both of Princeton, WI and several more nieces and nephews. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Regina on March 12, 1999; two brothers, Alfred and Walter and three sisters, Evelyn, Lillian and Viola.
Visitation for Arnold Bornick will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011, from 9 10:00 am at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 320 Mt. Zion Dr. Ripon, WI, 54971.
Funeral Service for Arnold Bornick will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at 10:00 am at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Pastor Dennis Meier will officiate. Entombment will take place at Ledge View Memorial Park & Shrine of Rest Chapel Mausoleum in the Town of Empire; Fond du Lac Co. Memorials may be given to Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon.
