Arnold A. Hoffman, 88, of the Town of Brooklyn, Ripon, WI, died Monday afternoon, June 11, 2001, at his home.
He was born October 14, 1912, at the Green Lake home of his parents, Carl and Helen (Cry) Hoffman. He attended Green Lake country school. On October 18, 1941, he married Verna Schultz at Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon. Arnold was a retired farmer and factory worker at American Stores. Mr. Hoffman was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, David (Patty) Hoffman of FL, Roger (Charlette) Hoffman of Roscoe, IL and DuWayne (Bonnie) of Ripon; one daughter, Nancy Roehl of Ripon; eight grandchildren, Robin (Jac) Gruenwald & son, Jeremy of Ripon, Joel Hoffman of Ripon, Lisa (Joe) Erickson & daughters, Miranda and Bethany, Derek Roehl of Princeton, Brittney Roehl of Green Lake and children, Aaron, Carman and Trinity, Angie Hoffman of Roscoe, IL and Olivia and Timothy Hoffman of Ripon. He is further survived by Evelyn Waldschmidt of Rosendale, Florence (Jerry) Nett of Fond du Lac and Karly Hoffman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna; great-grandsons, Nathan, Login and Mark, Jr.
Funeral service for Arnold A. Hoffman will be Friday, June 15, 2001, at 11 am at Our Saviours United Church of Christ, Ripon with Reverend Rebecca A. Johnston officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home and again on Friday one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
