Arnold Lamonska

Arnold Edward Lamonska, age 94, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Waupun Memorial Hospital.
Arnold was born February 10, 1928 in Green Lake County, WI, the son of Edward A. and Edna (Frei) Lamonska. Growing up, Arnold attended Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater, WI. When he married Muriel Alice Radke on September 26, 1953, he joined Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, where he volunteered as a member of the usher club, building and grounds crew and helped stuff bulletins. He was an active member up until his passing.
Over the years, Arnold worked for many local farmers, cut peas for local canning companies, and worked at Equity, and Kopplin and Kinas. He also was employed at Jay Clarke Auction Service and worked as an Oldsmobile mechanic. He spent the majority of his career at Kindt Lumber as a manager of the component plant. Arnold’s hobbies include woodworking, fishing, gardening and playing cards.
Surviviors include his niece and caretaker, Janell (James) Seeliger and her children, Savanna and Brenden (Hannah) Seeliger; nephews and nieces, Shirley Treptow, Bonnie (John) Dowidot, Karen (Alan) Rebedew, Lloyd (Carol) Wiese, DuWayne (Joan) Renn, Dennis Soda, Julie (James Van Gorder) Lamonska, and Joel, Tim (Kris) and Kerry (Cindy) Lamonska; and special friend, Edith Biesenthal. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edna Lamonska; beloved wife, Muriel Lamonska; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Lloyd Wiese and Marjorie and Arnold Renn; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Charmaine Lamonska and Arthur and Carol Lamonska. He was also preceded in death by Debra Soda and John Treptow.
A visitation for Arnold will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 9 – 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
A memorial service for Arnold will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, with Rev. Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating. Inurnment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, City of Ripon, WI. Memorials in Arnold’s name may be directed to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
