Arnold Lawson

Arnold John Lawson, age 73, of Ripon, WI passed away on Friday, November 16, 1990, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.

He was born December 19, 1916, in Ripon. On September 18, 1938, he married Marjorie Atwater in Ripon. Mr. Lawson was a graduate of Ripon High School and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was Parts and Service Manager for Bloedel’s Chrystler-Plymouth after owning and operating Lawson’s Mobil Station. He was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, member of the American Legion and member of the V.F.W. Schultz-Klemp-Wentland Post #5278.

Survivors include one daughter, Judith Ann (Thomas) Magdich of Dixon, IL; three grandchildren, Amy Jo (Alan) Clemens of Huntley, IL, Michael Magdich of Japan and Marjorie Magdich of Dixon, IL. Also surviving are Dorothy Lawson and Alvina Lunde, both of Ripon. His wife, Marjorie preceded him in death on August 8, 1979.

Funeral service for Arnold will be held Monday, November 19, 1990, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend James D. Mohr will officiate. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials in his name may be directed to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ.
