Arnold Leo Pischke, age 79, formerly of Ripon, WI, died Thursday, August 31, 2000, at Markesan Resident Home in Markesan.
He was born June 16, 1921, in the Town of Metomen, a son to Richard and Eva (Lietz) Pischke, Sr. He attended school in Green Lake County. Arnold served in the Army during WWII from April 3, 1945 to December 4, 1946 and participated in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign and was a member of the American Legion Post #378 in Fairwater. He married Ruth M. Stobb on June 3, 1951. Arnold farmed most of his life on the family farm.
Survivors include four sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruth in 1998, five brothers and one brother-in-law.
Funeral service will be 11 am Saturday, September 2, 2000, at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon with Pastor Paul Holte officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 am until the time of the service. Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery in Brandon. A memorial has been established in his name.
